On May 4, 2024, amidst both somber reflection and vibrant hope, we commemorated the soft launch of Miles 4 Matthew, an organization dedicated to honoring the courageous journey of Matthew and supporting families battling pediatric cancer. Though May 4th is etched with sadness due to Matthew's loss, the outpouring of support and solidarity at our inaugural event filled our hearts with warmth and determination.
From the inception of Miles 4 Matthew, our vision has been clear: to transform grief into action, to celebrate Matthew's resilience, and to extend a helping hand to families navigating the harrowing path of pediatric cancer. As we opened our doors to invite others to join us as Founder Circle members, we were met with an overwhelming response. The community's embrace of our cause was both humbling and inspiring.
At the heart of our soft launch was the sale of Miles 4 Matthew shirts—a symbol of unity, remembrance, and unwavering support. The remarkable enthusiasm shown by attendees led to the complete sell-out of these shirts, underscoring the depth of commitment to our mission.
Equally remarkable was the generosity displayed by all those who contributed to our cause. Since the inception of our event, we have been able to collect $9,800 in donations, a testament to the goodwill and compassion present within our community.
